On March 7th, Cherokee Chambers had the opportunity to listen to Janet Welch and Marc Welsh as they talked about Urban Healthcare in Atlanta.
It was very interesting to hear that there are some small towns that don't have doctors at all and patients are having to travel to larger towns just to see pediatricians and other doctors.
Was awesome to hear how Children's Healthcare of Atlanta are making a difference when it comes to Urban Healthcare. They are creating programs and making a step to change pediatric and mental healthcare in rural areas by trying to make healthcare available in some ways to these urban areas so kids can get help so they aren't having to travel to larger towns to get seen by pediatricians or other doctors.
