On May 3rd, the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee presented the 2018 Excellence in Partners In Education (PIE) Awards. The awards were given in four categories including elementary schools partnering with a small business/organization, elementary schools partnering with a medium/large business/organization, middle/high schools partnering with a small business/organization and Education Centers.
All nominees and nominating schools received a certificate honoring their partnership.The four winning businesses/organizations received a congratulatory plaque to recognize them for being an outstanding Partner in Education. Congratulations to everyone nominated and to the winning partnerships!

Allegro Business Products with Freedom Middle School
Lori Flink owner of Allegro Business Products is a very active partner with Freedom Middle School. She strives to make the jobs of the administration and teachers easier by providing excellent customer service, quality products, open communication, volunteer hours and donations. She donates time by speaking to the Careers Class twice a year as well as participates in the 8th grade Career Fairs coordinated by the Chamber. Lori also solicits and raises funds for after school events, provides free artwork design and offers discounted screen printed apparel for class trips and field day. In addition, she provides promotional items to the students and treats for the teachers and staff!
